Books I've Worked On

Picture
Apart from my freelance services, I also work as an acquisitions editor for Entangled Publishing, an independent publisher of romantic fiction, in both the adult and young adult markets. This wishlist presents the topics and type of stories I would like to acquire for them. If you are an author ready to submit your manuscript, please make sure to submit the Entangled Submission Guidelines linked below.

CLOSED FOR QUERIES AND SUBMISSIONS INDEFINITELY

I'm looking for diversity-rich speculative fiction stories, but open to all stories compelling enough. I like stories that I can identify with, because growing up there were so very few of them, especially stories with characters that are bilingual or bicultural, characters with disabilities (visible or non-visible), and characters across the LGBTQIAP+ rainbow. My favorite stories contain unlikely casts, personalities that stand out, worlds struggling against change, climate issues, high-stakes adventures, witty banter, strong friendships, and romance that will make me blush and giggle in public.

All stories must have romance front and center or play a big part in the plot/subplots.

  • CONTEMPORARY: travel rom-coms, big family cast (related or not), quirky small towns (think Gilmore Girls or Schitt's Creek), Caribbean and archipelago settings, basically Hallmark movies but diverse.
  • FANTASY: high-concept epicness like Sarah J. Maas does, amazing worldbuilding like Tamora Pierce does, badass princesses like She-Ra, dragons because hell yes, cultures other than medieval-ish, and flawed magic systems.
  • PARANORMAL: uncommon and awesome shifters Charlie Cochet does, Latinx witches, every day magic, magical academies, something like The Worst Witch but YA/NA, diverse culture gods and creatures, re-telling’s with a modern spin and diversity.

There are some genres which I do not work with, because I am not well read in them:
horror, thriller, mystery, time-travel, magical realism, religious, and women's fiction manuscripts.

Love to work with new authors, so if you have something that fits with my mswl, send it over!
